Pink/Rose Gold Reccommendations

Hello,
Lately I have been thinking about buying an early 40s/early 50s rose gold/filled watch from Omega. I’m also interested in a bumper auto, though it’s not a necessity. My ideal case size is from 32-35mm. I’ve been eyeing up the reference 2445 with its interesting side lug profile, but I don’t know much about this era and style of Omegas so I hoping you might be able to recommend some other references for me that are common in rose gold, or whose designs are well-suited for it. If I can find something with caseback and/or crown gaskets, that would be a huge plus! Thanks in advance.

Here’s an example of one I’m looking at for reference;

Hello! Starting from a list of references is always difficult, due to the so many variations.

I would personally suggest to look at watches from the era and once you have a clearer style in mind, trying to do some research as to whether they were produced in rose gold cases.

Understanding that you want rose gold, but there will be big differences between 40s watches and 50s. Also in terms of budget and condition.

I would also recommend to try 32-33mm watches because they are very small for the majority of people. There is a huge difference between a 32mm and a 35mm, so worth refining that range further.

Example of my 2576 from the 50s.

Hello, thanks for your reply!

I definitely noticed that the references don't seem to be very useful because of the variations. Is there a better way to go about searching for them, i.e. certain keywords or movement series or something? It's pretty tough to research when the only keywords I have are 1940s and rose gold, and sellers often mislabel one or both of these points, so it's hard to trust what I'm seeing.

I have several watches from the 1910s through the 60s ranging from 28-35mm, so I understand my comfort zone well. I definitely prefer smaller to larger. Also, when I say early 50s, I really mean like 1950-51, mostly carryover designs from the 40s, if that makes sense. I'm very much in the early stages of research, just trying to get a feel for what's out there.

Afraid there is no silver bullet. If you have a reference in mind, you can try searching for it, or setting up alerts, but no all watches are opened and referenced properly, so some will be missed.

I would keep an eye on various platforms. Some keywords should help like “rose” or “rose gold” or perhaps on production decades for instance.

Good luck with the quest. It can take a while so be patient, and do your homework or ask on the forum if you’re not sure about authenticity.

French cased "Fab.Suisse" Omega's from the 1950's would be my recommendation.

Excellent heavy 18kt gold case quality coupled with classic 50's design.

I'd recommend other brands as well. IWC has my favorite pink gold.
