路Just a noobie trying to learn what I can about Omega watches and their history.
I can see what a pie pan dial is, but why? Aside from aesthetics, did it ever serve a particular purpose and might there be any interesting story behind them?
Also, I found a vintage gold constellation at a pawn shop while travelling with a skeleton back. 100% of the watch back case was clear, the sales guy was trying to convince me the watch was worth $10-15,000. He told me the story behind it was that a manager at a company purchased about 15 of these watches for his sales staff and he convinced someone at Omega to make him these watches special. Obviously sounds like he was blowing smoke, but I figured I would ask to see if there is any truth whatsoever to this story.
