Here’s a 14 carat gold Omega Constellation pie pan (ref. 168.005/6) powered by a cal. 561. Can my OF bros give me some advice? How do you like it? Do you see anything terribly wrong with it? I currently have no better pics of the inside and/or serial numbers at hand. Thanks in advance! I can't see anything terribly wrong. The case has been slightly polished. Looks like a decent piece to me.
None I can see but others should chime in soon. Pie pan seems pronounced. ACH seem to line up ok. Lettering seems correct
Not a bragging post. The watch is mine and I plan on putting it up for sale when it returns from overhaul. I have no doubts about this watch, but since my good name is attached to the sale, I want to know 100%... And what better place than Omegaforums...
Busy season -- Holidays....work.... Wait for others to chime in? .... Such as @gatorcpa and others well versed in these dark arts
Gator sure knews his sh*t... Advised me in 2012 when I bought my other Connie. Best buy evah! I bought this one in a spur of the moment, all by my self (with Desmond's blog as back up).
as Difeer pointed out, the only thing I see is that it was polished before (not too bad), the rest seems to check out
lovely watch Bart dial is in good order -fonts looks spot on looks like onyx inserts -most likely in gold indices movement looks in good nick too great medallion -barely any wear at all only comment - as above - that the chamfers on the lugs are a little polished -but that is often the way with solid gold cases congrats on a great Connie
Dial has Onyx inserts but does show some early ageing spots, about appropriate with the case's condition.
Very similar to my 168.005, heres a picture for comparison... All looks good on your dial IMO. Lugs are a bit polished but other than that its a very nice watch!
If you're referring to mine, its steel. It has gold markers and hands though. I'll add you to the list.
