Pictures while driving

can we discuss banning or removal of photos clearly taken behind the wheel of a moving vehicle?

We absolutely should not encourage such reckless behavior. Even if your car has autopilot features, I say not until fully autonomous. Until then it’s a shameful misuse of a 3,500+ pound ground missile.

My car only weighs about 2600 pounds, does that qualify as a ground missile?

And what about the bikes? The Piaggio is a pig at 575 pounds and can behave like a proper missile when provoked and the 330 pound Vespa, now that it’s lightly tuned, isn’t known as the mechanical squirrel for nothin.

And then there’s bicycles... while a skinny bastard like myself is hardly a missile a truly fat chick on a ten speed on a serious hill is more dangerous than a Kenworth with a full load of live bacon on board.

There’s some serious study to be done here folks.

I would suggest we call the @Mad Dog for a professionals point of view.

Unless he’s a passenger in France?! (Or wherever people drive on the wrong side of the road)

This is a watch forum, not a place for you to lecture grown adults. You must be a riot at a party.

I am happy to discuss.

No, I am not interested in banning or removing such photos.

It will only lead to things like wanting to ban watch photos taken in bars/ pubs, as drinking alcohol leads to people hooking up with people they wouldn't normally be attracted to.

I take the majority of my pictures while behind the wheel. That said I do it while waiting at traffic lights. Most of the time 🤦

I think joining a forum and within a few posts trying to suggest rule changes is sort of odd but saying that... No one here actually takes photos of their watches whilst controlling a moving car do they?

I know some of you come from countries with very long, straight, empty roads unlike the tangled mess that is the UK but even so....Seriously?

More contrived outrage.

It's the hallmark of modern society.

Photos clearly taken behind the wheel, of a moving vehicle, with a mobile phone or other exclusively hand-held device, without the aid of additional supports or brackets (e.g. fixed GoPro) or remote shutter release devices, by the driver, on a public road as opposed to private property...add any further criteria pertinent to distinguishing between responsible and reckless behaviour.

Threads without watch photos are rather dull so here’s a few wheel shots...all taken behind the wheel in a responsible manner.

Who took the picture ?
Passenger perhaps 😉
I think I had better edit my post a little; re-reading it makes me seem like some sort of irresponsible psycho. No, I had the OP’s original text in mind and broadened the scope somewhat, but forgot to include the “..banning or removal of...” bit, which rather changes the whole sense.::facepalm1::

All of my photos were taken in parked vehicles, off-road, but could be misinterpreted as being in moving vehicles.

I love watches, I love photography and I love driving... I just don't feel the need to do all three at the same time! 😀

What kind of case is this?
