Had a bit of spare time to burn so I decided to take some pictures of my all time favorite watch. Haven't worn it on the bracelet so I almost forgot how beautiful it looks on a bracelet. Enjoy!

@adam78 Here's the bracelet 馃榾

Cheers!

I spotted this in the WRUW section before and noticed the great condition it is in. It indeed looks good on the bracelet, most Rolex do. I have an older Sub no date on my wanted list, it'll come to me in good time.

Need to bookmark for the people who dismiss Rolex as pretentious and gaudy.

Thank you! I paid a lot for this one but never regret it at all...

Finding these are easy-yet-hard: there's plenty of them but most are over-polished and have some parts replaced.

Which reference are you searching for?

I think that it is the reference 5513 Submariner? If so it was produced from 1962-1990, so it had a fairly long run.

Wow, the case looks like it has never been worn, but everything else sat in the sun!

This one is from 1980 based on the serial. Reference 5513.

A 5513 maxi is the preferred one. As I am in Australia there is few like these come up for sale. Buying from overseas is an option but the 10% import duties usually kill the deal. I wait for my next holiday next year in Europe. As said before, it will come in good time, no hurry. If something does come up here in the meantime that is a bonus.

But of course it will...go onto my wrist...at least for a few moments. Soon, I hope.
