Hi Everyone Well in NYC ITS been hot and stickly as its the season here... So from time to time depending on the watch I am wearing .... I like to take the bracelet off and clean and wipe down the case to remove sweat grime and who know what else .... Then I turn my attention to the bracelet ! I like to steam them to loosen up the hard " bio crud" that builds up between the links . I then fill a glass with hot water some dishsoap and a littl amonia. Then I let it soak over night and by next am there is a lot of crud floating and some even on the bottom of the glass ..... ( I used to have a small ultra sonic unit (2) but my wife cleaned out one of the storage areas and thought they were junk ! Oh well . I then rinse and hair dry or wrap in layers of paper towels to leach out all moisture .... What I found to be a great source for the hot water and the steam is my espresso maker in my kitchen !!! The unit I have I think has a 18 bar pressure pump and can make pleanty of steam !! I just make sure I do this when my wife is out ! What home tools do you use ? Good Huntibg Bill Sohne
Reminds me of the time a friend rebuilt my L & R Master centrifugal cleaning machine. Once the housing was gutted, and prior to putting it back together, he ran the housing through a cycle in the dishwasher! His wife got home before the housing was removed! Needless to say, you know what hit the fan! They're still married.
I can't recommend highly enough the multi-use variable temperature high pressure cleaning cabinet we have in our kitchen. Ms JimInOz even uses it to clean crockery and cutlery https://omegaforums.net/threads/latest-buy-does-it-look-ok.10781/#post-125833
I use the smallest of the Karcher steam cleaners and an Elma ultrasonic - it seems I may be 'old school' compared to you more inventive chaps.
