Picked up the leather strap with Ceramic/Ti deployment for my DSOTM.

Also a lot of ceramic watch cases have brushed surfaces such as panerai, iwc and many of the new DS versions so I'm not sure where you heard brushed scratches easier. Maybe it does on SS.

Haven't heard, but I could imagine from an engineering perspective. A brushed surface has grooves like vinyl LPs for example. So I could imagine that the "peaks" could be flattened (sorry for my bad english). But I could be wrong. Let's wait and see. Would not keep me from buying one 😀

If this was the case lots of people would be complain about scratches on the many brushed ceramic watches or at least the brushed parts. I would find it hard to believe the manufactures would not test this. I find my brushed and polished ss scratches about the same maybe worse for the polished. Ceramic is 6x harder so I think we are good here.

Also I don't have a tool to remove the brackets etc so I used a jeweler screwdriver on both the brushed clasp and lugs and not the slightest scratch. If it had been SS there would be scratches. Gotta love ceramic 😀

Not true. All of the new SOTM deploy straps are compatible with the older deploy clasps (94521813, 94521833, 94521883, etc) and vice versa.

The TI/Ceramic clasp WILL NOT work with the original tang-style straps that came with the DSOTM and GSOTM, and the original ceramic tang buckle that came with the DSOTM and GSOTM WILL NOT work with the new deploy style straps.

Now when will you find me a GSOTM clasp ;-)

Ok. I've made countless threads about the GSOTM ti/ceramic clasp and how none of the dealers and boutiques could order one yet but people claim they have gotten the "GREY" clasp.

I just made my rounds of calling the stores yet again and they all claim it's still not available that only the "black" clasp is in the system. She even gave me the code/model number for the grey clasp and it gives zero results under Google search.

So if someone could enlighten me as to how people are getting these clasps I'd really like to get in on the action. I have a black gator strap just impatiently waiting to go on the watch.
