I would Aldo the bezel too. A half smashed bezel doesn't add character, any more than a dent in the side of a vintage car makes it more charming. Buying all original is a great idea if "all original" is in good shape.

My first Aldo bezel arrived today...this particular bezel had no remnants of its original form. Personally I prefer the original bezel regardless of condition over a restored one. But if its a blank canvas, absolutly. I have several SM's with partial bezels that will all remain as-is.
