it's a lovely morning in Scotland for a change. This week I decided to Wear some of my most favourite watches, this it the luck 5 I had on my wrist, what did you wear this week on you wrist ?
Wow. No date to be seen on any watch you wore, nice watches I might add. No picture, I just wore my SM 300 M.
Hi Jud, As much as I like collection vintage watched I actually don't like the date watches I just can't get exited about them sorry , there something about looking at a watch with a full face.
Beautiful collection, Steve I work Monday -Thursday and I've gotten in the habit of wearing a date watch on Mondays to get reoriented and then no a no date for the rest of the week.
I have been thinking about starting a thread on this very subject. I prefer watches without dates as well.I especially dislike day date watches.
'48 Hamilton & '38 Waltham... so a non Omega week...... I gotta make up for that next week I suppose.
Hi Peemacgee, It's a 167 , the reason I went for this Constellation was it was manufactured with in 2 month of my birthday (1966) all my hard work payed of I didn't think I was going to get any closer than that . The other reason I went for this model I'm not a lover of the pie pan version ... Sorry pie pan just doesn't do it for me .
Hi Steve now that is dedication to a cause -most people are happy to have a watch in their full birth year let alone within 2 months of your birthday -and no need to apologise re dome dials I have a small collection of Connies -and only one (albeit stunning) pie-pan -and it is the most recent acquisition I like date and no date Connies (not day-date though - too fussy) but I kind of agree re no date watches too -there is something about the clean simplicity of a no-date dial my go to watch is a cross hair dome dial SS14381-on my wrist today and my 'best' watch is an 18k 14381dome dial -in the safe today! (ps there's no staining on the 18k dial on this one -just reflections)
