    Thanks for the pics, Simon.

But.....I am afraid that some info on those pics are not 100% correct with real experience in collecting Vintage Omega

    Like in this pic

The watch was listed as a 168006/ 168005 without "officially certified" on the dial.

But from my experience 99.5% of Ref 168.006 and 168.005 have "Officially Certified" on the dial. The watch in the pic doesn't have it but in the same shape and my call would be 14902.

Here is a 14902 with broken lugs without "officially certified" on the dial.

Again, thanks for the pics and like to see some more.

    Best regards.

Hoi, you're arguing against an Omega catalog and you said.....

Then .5% don't have it and the picture is correct if it's one of the watches without Officially Certified. ;)

    Dennis.

I am not arguing, I only say it's not correct with the real experience with Vintage Omega. And if you like to take that 0.5% and use it as your reference, it's your business.

I have a dumb question. Why making a picture when it is not the correct dial, case or whatever. It should be availeble when listed in a catalog. Greetz Simon

Well, could be the sale person who deat with the catalog printing guys and they took the wrong thing to make that catalog.

Are these listed as Automatic ? I don't see "automatic" on the dials in 2 of them. (AFAIK, when there is no automatic, it means manual)

Well, I don't understand what they wrote in that but if you would translate it into English, I am very appreciated.

The 2 on the right side are manuel winds and are listed at the oposite page.

The old Omega catalogues I have show "incorrect" versions of some watches for the catalogue year, especially the Speedmasters.

I think you have to take it that the catalogue is a sales tool & never purported to be a historically precise record - that sort of thing is left to AJTT etc.

Hi Simon, First of all thank you for this very rare pics.

Concerning the issue it is true, that Omega obviously used kind of 'photoshoped' pictures.

The 2998/105.002 is a very good example. Neither the later 2998 nor the 105.002 have ever been delivered with the BASE1000 bezel or the shown dial of a 2998-1 or -2. Anything else would be such a relevetation to the collectors world that it is rather unlikely....
