I don’t know if it’s possible to pick a “perfect song” as everyone has their own taste and for me (although Beatles can fit any mood) one’s choice of music can change depending on your mood or an experience that came about.

However, Warren Haynes played not too far from me recently at a cool smaller venue and something must have hit him playing this as you could see the emotion on his face. I looked around the venue and noticed many had tears in their eyes, it certainly made me think back to some people I lost on the way.

Sometimes a song you have heard a million times hit you differently, maybe that’s the perfect song, this was the show, venue and song

While I like the Beatles as much as the next man, time to get a bit random

A cover to ease into it

And if we have to go back, the bonkers, magical Grace Slick

And finally a piece of music that the Pope thought so perfect, he threatened to excommicate anyone who copied it...Allegri's Miserere from c1630

Alison Krauss, “In My Mind I’m Going To Carolina”
This woman puts all modern day divas to shame. Perfect pitch and she makes it look easy.

When I first started to listen to music, it was the late 70s. I definitely am pulled to classic rock. My son wound up listening to all that in the car as he drove around with me when he was younger. It must have had some effect as he loves to play classic rock songs.

I am not at all musical, but my son grew up playing piano, french horn, and now guitar. Anytime I hear him pulling off one of those songs I love to listen to on his guitar, it's a "perfect" song for me. My wife and I went to visit him at college last week for parents weekend, and he played this with his band. Brought a smile to my face and I hope you enjoy it too!

I like the sound of silence. Not the song by Simon & Garfunkel, the actually sound of silence. Perfect song is no song at all if you ask me.

And perfect, if you turn the sound all the way down on any song it’s kinda silent
