Do they make it the blue face in steel? I’ve only seen the black face in steel....thanks for any help.
Note that there is a debate as to whether any vintage Rolex GMT actually left the factory with a blue bezel, aka "Blueberry." If anyone is seriously considering buying one, it's definitely worth researching thoroughly.
This ^ x 2 Even after research, consensus i believe is that no one actually knows the truth about these inserts - and considering that these fetch 2 or 3 times the price of a nice 1675, thats on helluva punt on the faith of a (trusted) dealer
Unfortunately until the day Rolex say anything about whether or not they sold any 1675 with a Blueberry, you will never have a chance to know: a) if Blueberry inserts have ever existed as a legit Rolex inserts. b) how a legit Blueberry Rolex insert should look. In fact not only there is a big debate if these Blueberry ever existed, but also there is a querelle about how the original Rolex Blueberry should look. Someone says that, apart from the few inserts mounted on UAE military 1675 in the 70's, then it exists a batch of legit Rolex Blueberry service inserts and another batch that Rolex never purchased but was sold around 2001 by the company that allegedly produced the inserts for Rolex back in the days. In this narrative these are the "good Blueberry" and then there are all the fake ones, and "good dealers" are only using Blueberry from these two batches for their 1675. Of course the only way to know if something is original is to have an original to compare it with.
The only blue face (dial) Pepsi is the new GMT white gold model I believe. If you have $36,740 (plus taxes) you'd probably have an easier time getting a hold of this than a SS model. https://www.rolex.com/watches/gmt-master-ii/m126719blro-0003.html
