I know people are crazy about Ultraman Speedmaster, and will spend lots of $ to get one, but some people take this to the extreme.

One popped up that could possibly be Ultraman (complete guess without extract) watch looks like it spent weeks in salt water, completely destroyed, and somehow it reached $2K bid already 🤨

That may have an Ultraman hand but it is far out of range, its too early. The dial looks rarer still as it seems to be a Soleil. Note the lack of "Professional" text. Its still junk tho, just rare junk.

That orange hand is not deteriorated like the rest so likely added later. Why would someone add it later? The most obvious conclusion is to deceive. Can't know a person's motives but it must be defended.

Seems like the gullible and gluttonous are vulnerable.

Thought the same thing, that hand looks in lot better shape than rest of the watch. Even more reason why this is crazy to me, and I dont even care to know enough about Ultraman to see that odds are minuscule that this is real deal.

Caseback and pusher seem to suggest a 105.012. Safe to rule out the Ultraman option. What a mess...

Rare blue dial? The logo and text still present and clear, so quite a patina hunters dream

Do you mean that it is in fact a very rare prototype ? 😉😜::facepalm1::

If you send it in to Omega for a service, will it come back looking like new?

If they chose to service it at all, yes it would. But it would be almost completely new, so they might say, nope, too far gone.

Am I weird for wanting this watch? 🤨

I could imagine getting the case and mechanics restored to perfection, and contrasting it with that completely trashed, amazing soleil dial (basically that's my way of saying I'd take anything with a soleil dial 😁)

But yeah I agree, forget the orange hand / ultraman status, it looks like that hand was added long after all the damage incurred elsewhere.

At least the crystal is in great shape - totally transparent!😎
