Quite rare it seems. I would be interested to see the serial number on the back of yours at some stage. I love your dial just as it is!

I managed to find a suitable bracelet for mine in the end - it really sets off the patina.

I always keep an eye out for this brand as the example above is one of my favourite watches. This one popped up for sale yesterday on an online charity shop page, with free postage. We will see whether it actually turns up…. Nice hands and patina though, and possibly radium numerals. Screw down waterproof case back also, but needing a thorough clean!

Hmmm. I'm afraid there's a slighty sad postscript to the story of my Peerex. I couldn't live with the patina and so I tried some experimental dial cleaning, against all advice and my own misgivings. It didn't turn out well. It literally became a ghost dial! I was still keen to get it running however and so took it to my 94 year old watch repairer. Sadly his skills have diminished and after taking it apart several issues were found that he hasn't been able to remedy. The watch is still on his bench....somewhere. I'm not overly optimistic on seeing it again!!

In other news, my charity shop bargain example arrived through the post yesterday, much to my surprise. It actually looks pretty good, and is a decent size as well. I will get it cleaned up and serviced and the post up some ‘after’ pictures.

I was watching it but it got plenty of interest towards the end.... was too minty mint for me anyway! I prefer the dial to tell a story.

I had it saved to my watch list but it passed me by while I was working my farm. Honestly forgot about it. Nice price. Somebody picked up a nice piece fairly cheap.
