PayPal currency fees when buying from eBay

Just ran into this issue trying to buy a bracelet online. As usual I take the price of the item... let's say its 300Euro and google what the exchange is to USD. Google tells me its 334.34usd. I went to check out which reroutes thru paypal but the usd total is far greater. Now if I google the exchange in the other direction (usd to euro) the numbers still don't work out. Google literally just reverses it and I end up with the same numbers. That being said, I don't take what the google results say as set in stone, rather just a close estimate. However the bracelet was 110usd more than the conversion. I can't see there being that much in fees. I'm confused and I dont know why Haha.

I used 300 euro as an example to keep it at an even 100. My point being that the google exchange isnt even close to what it really is via paypal. For conversation purposes heres the real numbers for the transaction I didnt go thru with...

482 euro to usd (via Google) is $537usd
Proceed with paypal and the total is $646 usd.

482 is price plus shipping so the rest has to be fees or some diffrence in exchange.

I should also specify that I'm not buying thru ebay. Just an online storefront. Since the title to this thread is in reference of buying via ebay i can see that may be confusing but I didn't want to start a new thread when this one existed.

Not ebay in my case. However the breakdown just states subtotal for goods and shipping. No other lines of info. I assume if there is tax and what not it would be another line in the breakdown or just added to the subtotal. Either way the total with shipping via the exchange rate on google is 100 plus lower than the exchange via paypal lol. I'll just try ordering the bracelet thru an AD like usually but the one I use has proven to be ridiculously slow the last 2 times i tried getting a bracelet or strap. Makes me wonder if certain stores are given priority over others. Took me 6 months to get the 50th speedy flatlink while other places online had multiple in stock ready to ship. Same when I got my snoopy strap... same store said they cant even get one yet another, out of the way AD got it in under 2 months. I just figured I'd skip the AD all together and order thru swiss watch spares but not at this exchange rate Haha.
