Transitive connection. Subdial markers like Rolex Daytona associated with Paul Newman, therefore Newman Vulcain, LIP, etc
I mean, a little bit of a stretch no? I would understand if you approximate it to a Montecarlo design but Paul Newman? Anyway, if that rocks the boat let it rock I suppose.
its the font on the subdial. panda plus red highlights probably a plus. Paul Newman Longines Super Compressor?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the common thread between all the pictured dials that they're contrasting and made by Singer? That's usually offhand for "Newman" style wherever it's used for maximum visibility and desirability.
ok let me clear up some things: The Paul Newman features an art deco style font for the numerals, and the hash marks have a small square at the end. Now, there are some chronographs that have singer made PN dials. Moreover, there are other ones that have PN "style" dials which are NOT made by singer (there is another thread on OF where I discuss this). The Paul Newman Style dials need 2 things (panda/reversepanda+art deco style font for the numerals, and the hash marks have a small square at the end). But, that being said they do come in other colors than panda/reverse panda.
Maybe that one... http://www.2ememain.be/bijoux-montr...aph-valjoux-montre-homme-plato-310640802.html
Interesting the change from a normal type tachy to a driving focused one. If I read this right the KM/H in red would be correct for using the tach to measure mile markers, then converts to KM. Seems slightly odd why that narrow range of KM for timing mile markers.
I like the style of all these. Something to look into. I did get the Tudor chrono blue over the summer and love to wear it. It somehow reminds me of these although ad the thread expands I appreciate more the differences
