I have this Omega, case ref. 2639-11, cal 266. It's a 13mil serial, so -51 or -52 then. The dial has a rather unusual patina, like it's turned into gold flakes. The lacquer on top has almost crumbled. I kind of like it as it is and since it looks like it's never been refinished (no evidence of the markers being touched), I'll keep it like this. Does anyone know how it was supposed to look? Was it meant to be black? The minute markers are there, hardly visible.

I had a couple of watches do this to me in real time. Opened up a black dial watch, exposed it to the air and turned green like this right before my eyes. A Glycine and a Zodiac. Never an Omega, though. I left the dials as is because it looked very cool on a vintage watch and they were all original.

Thanks, I suspected that. It won't be black again anytime soon :). I guess it's radium markers as well. I have all the parts, original crown even. Just need the movement sorted.
