I inherited one of these, am grateful , but, the watch just isn’t for me. I’m a simple guy. I brought it to our patek dealer for inspection , etc, ordered a new strap from patek. The dealer informed me upon close inspection there were a few chips in the Crystal ( pictured). He said nothing to worry about, but wanted me to know. I’m not sure if I want to sell, or keep This thing. Or how to move forward now with this info. Any and all opinions appreciated.
If the question is about the chips in the crystal, as the dealer said, you don't have to do anything. Just cancel the order for the overpriced strap and put the watch away until you're ready to sell it.
We can't say much without seeing photos. But generally it's best to do nothing. Just sell the watch as it is. People who buy valuable watches prefer them to be untouched. Let the buyer decide what to do.
Absolutely agree with cancelling the order for the overpriced Patek strap. However, I would have the chipped crystal replaced.
