This watch has been on eBay for a little while now. I am aware that the ref. 3417 can be found with "Amagnetic" written on the dial but I have not heard of such writing on a ref. 3419. I find the typeface and placement of "Amagnetic" to be quite awkward on this dial. Furthermore, the movement and hands are heavily worn while the dial is pristine. All of this suggests to me that something is wrong with this dial. The motivation for this would be obvious as Amagnetics are highly desirable. I am interested to hear any thoughts on this watch and Amagnetics in general. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Very-rare-P...racelet-/182384528860?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Obviously not water resistant! A rusty movement is often accompanied by a water damaged dial! How is it the dial escaped water damage, I ask you! This'n has been rode hard and put away wet. Little wonder the market place has been cautious! You should be too!
There was a guy on TZ that bought one of these in a junk bag of watches for a couple of dollars. Ended up selling it for low five figures in mid 2000's. I understand that a nice one now sells for high five figures today. Gorgeous watches. Too bad this isn't one of them. Still a Patek Philippe in steel. Someone will buy it. gatorcpa
