My PP 3520D J is small by today's standards, but I enjoy wearing. It is light as a feather, extremely thin, and understated elegance. It completely flues under the radar as a PP. The hobnail bezel sparkles in the light and the simple dial looks proportional. Though the crown is small, the caliber 177 winds smoothly and is a joy to wind each morning. It also keeps great time. Well, here are a couple of quick pictures using my phone. Cheers to small, ultra thin watches!
Your PP 3520D is just classy it does not need to shout. Your Most PP are VERY understated except the perpetual chronos which are in a legue of their own. I sometimes wear a 5035p (annual calendar) this piece goes completely unnoticed except for 'real' watch guys. The 5053 almost looks like a school boys watch !
Love the dial on that watch. The AP ultra-thin version (the Classique) sits in my box. No hobnail bezel, but that's okay.
The essence of classic dress watches. Lovely things. Too small for me however. I've tried on a few and they look ridiculous on my wrist.
Here is where I'd love to say, "Mine says hello!" But I seem to recall the price of admission at the time (about 16 years ago) was $11,500, at least for the 3919. So, my more modestly-priced version of a similar design (but no hobnails) says hello.
Both the AP and Baume & Mercer depicted above are really beautiful, classic dress watches. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice. It's truly similar in size and design to the PP 3520, though the AP may be even more slim.
