It has everything I hate in watches... non symmetrical dial, power reserve, genta styling... But I actually dig this one in grey.
I love the look of that. I'd only worry that as I get older I wouldn't be able to see all the dials clearly!
I’m with you here It reminds me on the Lange 1 The strange offset dial arrangement. It all feels a bit random to me and I don’t get it. But I understand I’m in the minority and that’s ok. Another oddity I don’t get is the warping on the minute track at the 6 on v2 of the Patek 5270. I guess I just prefer classic, clean, well proportioned layouts. The number one thing on any watch for me is the dial.
Fabulous watch!! The 5712/1A is my favorite Patek in stainless steel!! The cal based on the 240 with the micro-rotor is simply stunning!!
Nautilus pricing has gone even crazier than Rolex of late. Picked this up from my AD in 2017 with a slight discount, just turned down an offer of £61250.00 for it yesterday.
Great watch but I don't like it on a bracelet. I love the asymmetric design and the very well constructed case. Also, the 240 is an excellent movement. Maybe not the best timekeeper, but overall quite solid given how thin it is. It's crazy how the 5712G is more affordable than the 5712A though.
And cluttered as well! Awful one as of my taste. And just to the opposite as far as 5726 is concerned. Really beautiful!
