Parcel Pro Favor for Int'l Shipping

Members,

I figure best to ask here since we all help each other out. I am working a deal with a fellow member and neither of us have ParcelPro...I am in the US and he is in HK and the watch has value greater than the $1k for FedEx.

I am wondering if any members would be willing to use their ParcelPro account to do a FedEx shipment for the transaction...I would of course pay for the service!

I don't know if this is even possible, and if not, I completely understand, but thought best to ask here.

Thanks,

Matt

I'm in Singapore and I have a PP account but I don't think it allows me to do shipments US-HK unless it involves Singapore. Sorry man.

Hong Kong does not have import tax, you could just send regular USPS expedited w/full coverage...

Opening a PP account is indeed fairly easy, though they require you to make a phone call rather than open it online. Worth doing if you sell high-value watches at all, even once in a blue moon.

I have a pp account and didn't provide a tax ID, and most of my shipments are international. I believe they'd let you use something else like drivers license or SIN card or something.

Yeah - PP is set up for businesses, but if you let them know you're an individual collector who sometimes needs to ship a high-value object, they'll just take your SSN - which is actually your Federal Tax ID too 😉

It's fairly easy to set up an account. Call the rep in your area. I think that info is available on the website. I have insured inbound of high values and have requested seller waits to ship so that I can arrange insurance. Other then a slight delay it's been really easy. They def do a lot of watch collectors personal insurance.

The whole process took a couple of hours to set up.

I have a ParcelPro account, but I'm pretty sure int'l shipping is not available for me. I'll have to inquire with them about that.

It's an option when sending international on one of the tabs. Have done both local and international insured on my side. Inbound and outbound.

No thread drift... Options.

I also use Centinel and JWLS... One advantage is...Cheaper.. Also, very friendly staff ready to assist. I am not knocking down PP... There are other options out there..

For me, it's PP. They now allow you to ship with both UPS and FedEx, with UPS being slightly cheaper since it's the parent company. The web UI & staff have been great so far.

Like significantly cheaper? I'd also like to have the option of shipping via regular ground, which you can't do with PP - 2 days is the slowest!
