·When I started buying watches of all collectible makes some 25 years ago I do not remember
collectors or dealers asking for boxes and papers. The transactions were done face to face and not much fear of buying a fake. Box and papers do not mean much to me. If I only pay a very small premium for the B&P I may buy. Certain vintage watches will bring quite a bit more when selling if they do have B&P but most will not.
