Hi there

I read the Oyster Perpetual Turquoise (Tiffany) Dial was discontinued, but is this for the 41mm only, or all models? Looking at the Rolex website, it seems they still exist for the 36mm model.

If they're still available for the 36mm, are they impossible to get at an AD, or are they as accessible as the other colours? I recently bought the silver dial, and only had to wait a few days. (I had to buy a Tudor as well, otherwise they wouldn't sell to me, but that's a different matter).

Thanks

36 turquoise is still available, although very hard to get an allocation.

just curious, (in a short few months) how did you go from hating Rolex to: bought a Tudor to earn the privilege to buy a Rolex and now wanting a second Rolex of the same line.

what happened? so many questions.

I don't think I ever said I hate Rolex watches (I've never hated Rolex watches) but I do think their business practice of restricting stock and many ADs being shady is a problem.

I don't think or live in a black and white way, so I'm able to hold an opinion (Rolex's business practice of restricting stock and many ADs being shady is a problem) and also buy Rolexes...

May as well close down the forum.
How can anyone on here tell you whether they will sell you a turquoise dial watch? You seem to have a rapport with the AD since you have bought a couple of watches there.

If you want me to guess, I’d say it is pretty much impossible to pick up a Tiffany dial at retail.

That's not what I asked though. I asked this:

> If they're still available for the 36mm, are they impossible to get at an AD, or are they as accessible as the other colours?

I was asking for the crowds' opinion on the Tiffany's accessibility, not will an AD sell me one.

Based on my research, the answer seems to be: waiting list of a few years, and you need to have a good relationship with your AD.

I know you wanted to let off a bit of aggression. It's too common at this forum, unfortunately.

No aggression intended I am just trying to save you some trouble. No one on the forum can answer your question! You just bought two watches from an AD and the AD has the answers. In practical terms (assuming they are not discontinued), what is the difference between whether they are available and whether an AD will sell you one? Looking on C24 they people are asking $15K+ on the grey market, so that should give you an idea of the "accessibility."

Not true and I'm not going to participate in you pretending you were trying to be helpful.

Well… you did come in hot this one time with this line, specifically about Rolex, which can be found in this thread:
https://omegaforums.net/threads/has-rolex-ever-commented-on-the-ridiculousness-of-ads.162183/
So you think they want:

(1) create artificial scarcity to increase the perceived value of their product

(2) have rude and arrogant sales people so you feel you're possibly not good enough to own a new Rolex, so you'll jump through hoops to prove yourself

(3) make the situation so ridiculously exclusive that the prestige of owning a new Rolex is simply the fact they considered you good enough to be allowed own one

If so, it's like a cult attracting cult member wannabes. What a garbage brand.
So, it was a fair question from @NGO1

Why do you tolerate people being shitty on forums?

There's a reason this place has a reputation for being toxic. People replying with snark shouldn't be tolerated or encouraged.

Tiffany OP is dope. Update us if you landed one. I would have chosen 36 over 41 too. Good luck

Me, being shitty? Never! Up to my post and including mine, you responded mostly in a negative tone when others where trying to help (I wasn't). But I sometimes call 'em like I see 'em.

Ah yes, the common response from abusers, "I was just being honest".

And you say I'm the bad neighbour. You're the bad everything.

I get the fact that we probably won't exchange Christmas cards this year and that's okay. I have far more important things to do with my time than to continue down this road, as I'm sure you do as well.

Please accept my sincerest apologies for my misguided and untimely comments and any subsequent pain, anguish and hurt they may have caused. Let it go and move on....

It's a nice beach watch colour but at the inflated prices, one would be mad to wear it on a beach - so what purpsoe does it serve? :)
