How on earth can any watchmaker or jeweler think taking a fully brushed watch to a buffing wheel is acceptable?!? I can understand taking a scotch brite to it to correct some roughed up grain but to put a polish on this???

I mentioned in another thread or maybe this one a CMW who basically melted a 14700 case into nothing. His excuse? He wanted to remove all of the pits. Buffed the edges off the lugs, got progressively softer the farther down.
I found another case and he swapped it for free as if I would have taken any less.
Even the most credentialed people screw up sometimes. Sucks when it's your piece.

Haha. Hey at least he's honest and at no point describes it as beautifully polished like some ridiculous sellers. He knows he made a bad decision and no doubt reason he's trying to move on. What a horrid job.
