Respectable OF members who don't bump daily,
(yes... I know...)

For sale is my Oris Divers Sixty Five - first generation - with box(es) and stuff.
This is reference number 01 733 7707 4064-07 4 20 18 and that's the "original" 2015 re-issue of the 60's watch.

Feel free to read a few laudative reviews here (I swear I didn't pay these guys!!!):
https://wornandwound.com/review/oris-divers-sixty-five-review/

Simply put - it's a great watch. The design rocks, the quality is ludicrously high regardless of the (affordable) price level, it ticks all the vintage vibe boxes with modern reliability and "YOLO" factor... unfortunately it needs to go in the greater scheme of the ever-wishful collection consolidation.

Perfect 40mm size, 13mm thickness, night-shredding lume, solid feel, SW200 inside with some Oris tweaks (or so they say), lovely black-coated bezel perfectly complemented by the black insert, lollipop seconds hand. The bracelet is simply glorious... perfect design, fit, taper, clasp mechanism...

This is a watch I purchased earlier this spring from a valued forum member (link here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/oris-divers-sixty-five-the-first.129602/), and the OP was kind enough to let me borrow some of his description. All pictures are mine except the one that shows the box, as he allowed me to use it too.

I have worn the watch a total of four of five days since I bought it, and it's in as good a shape as when I initially got it from Eugene, so you can expect no scratches or dings on the case, and a crystal in perfect shape, the pictures tell the story better than me.

To quote the previous owner, "There are some light marks on the side of the bezel at 9 o'clock. If I hadn't looked at these photos twice and with scrutiny, I would have missed it. In the hand you would not see them (maybe with reading glasses or a loupe).". Very honestly - I can't see them either, but hey this is all about full disclosure isn't it? 😎 "The caseback has no scratches, and I can't see any on the lugs. Maybe there are some micro scratches visible on the back of the lugs when looked at under a loupe. [the previous owner] did alternate between straps/nato/bracelet in [his] years of ownership. The caseback has never been opened. The watch has never been serviced. I think it is still good for a while".

The bracelet has its full links (not on the latest pictures as I have a smaller WRIST than Eugene). There is a scratch on the clasp which is a battle scar as Eugene was part of the Special Ops team that fought a fierce rock in the bed of a remote river while he was helium-diving at 6 feet deep (too much YOLO, obviously) - so this scratch has genuine provenance and turns you up straight to 11 when you rock that baby on your wrist!

"It comes with its original heritage box. UNFORTUNATELY, due to the weight of the generic Oris booklet (its about the same size as the top surface of the box, and about 2.5cm thick) [the previous owner] recycled [his] many years ago. Pretty dumb, right? But thats where [his] mind was in the mid-teens. Also, it was not specific or special to this watch. [He] has since seen one or two for sale for about 20CHF, but [he] didn't bother to reacquire one" and neither did I.

this is the only pic coming from the original FS ad - and of much better quality than mine!

I am asking for the same CHF1100 / EUR1030 / USD1200 requested in the orginal ad - other currencies available upon request, this includes fully secursus-insured shipping from Switzerland to Western Europe, paid to my (transfer)Wise account, net to me. This way it looks like a β€œlocal” wire to you regardless of where you are in the world and is as smooth as silk a banking experience as you can get (Even US buyers get it right first time 😁). If you are in other parts of the world, let's talk about how to get it to you, I'm sure we can find a smart way πŸ˜‰ If you are in the Lemanic area, then I’d be glad to give you a discount, meet you in person with a mask and hydroalcoholic fluid, hand it over to you with a bow, and the beer is on me next time the bars are open . I am primarily looking for cash, no trades for now please.

Sales Terms: (inspired by Spacefruit's)
I only sell to bring some new pieces to my collection. I am not motivated by profit and so I have no reason to embellish or over describe, but I am not bothered by an uplift (edit : not the case here, I'm afraid!). I have (mostly) bought and sold (some) watches on www.OmegaForums.net and you can find my references here (https://omegaforums.net/search/13903340/?q=lonestar&o=date&c[node]=10) . I have met many OF members in person in the Lemanic area as well as in Biel and Milan a few times, and I hope I made a good impression on them. I am not a watch dealer, I make my money elsewhere, watches are my pleasure, but I’m not a philanthropist either. I am not in the least offended by offers, as long as you aren't lowballing me - If you are, I will likely ignore you at the very worst πŸ˜‰

Returns:
I have done my best to provide as much info as I could. I will happily answer all your questions before the sale, and snap more pictures for you. I will not take returns for this watch unless you consider it is grossly misrepresented and you are willing to have a discussion about it all, openly, on omegaforums, i.e. not by PM but into the limelight, as I value my fellow OF members opinions. I am opinionated, but not stubborn.

Payment:
Payment by Bank Transfer only. Paypal are a bunch of thieves. I will never, ever use them again, they are expensive and their protection level as a seller and/or a buyer when one is facing an experienced scumbag is nil. No more paypal for me, period. Face to face delivery is always welcome in the Lemanic area even in Covid times, as long as we both wear a mask πŸ˜€

Thank you OF for the space, and stay safe everyone.
Best,
Paul

Lots of love on my part - my favourite Oris dial and I’ve been so sorely tempted previously, I went and tried one on.

Unhappily, 40mm is way too big for my wrist, ….. if you could shrink it down to 36mm, well, ……. πŸ˜‰
