One thing for certain, tariffs were mentioned on the campaign trail and before the election.

Absolutely. So was stock market performance and there really isn't any question about which way the market was stated to go. This is in large part why I have such an issue with attempting to input our own logic and reason, trying to find motive that fits current short-term outcome. Because, when we think we have found an answer that makes sense we often stop listening and hear what we want to.

I think it’s just human nature sir.

The important thing, is that everything’s still pretty sweet down here in Australia, sun’s not too hot, snakes have been drowned by the flood waters, petrol’s cheap, and the beer is cold. What more could anyone ask for really

Didn't some guy in Australia back in the 1970s or 1980s build a jet engine in a bathtub to use the molecular flow to cool his beer in like 10 seconds?

It’s probably true, the more outlandish the story the more likely it is to have happened, especially here in Queensland, we’re like the Florida of Australia.

Huh, I found a story from about 2001 where somebody claims they did this first in new zealand, but I'm pretty sure that's not correct. Pretty sure it was something I read in one of those Reader's Digest that my Grandad loved so much.

An affordable 88 or 89 Carrera Coupe.

Oh sorry, was that rhetorical?

Yes it is a real word, it means ‘being in a state of fear of covfefe’. Often brought on by the imposition of badly thought through political acts.

I haven’t watched any town halls, I don’t watch msm at all actually. One would see diff results if the audience were oil or auto workers, vs maybe DC fed workers (as an example). One thing for certain, tariffs were mentioned on the campaign trail and before the election.
You can see the real thing on youtube. The response as been constant across the board. There is no need to make up random hypothetical.

There really should be an "I spit my coffee" emoji

I’m always wary of commenting on posts like this however, here’s my two cents, via a simple analogy. We talk a lot here about ‘buying the seller’ essential advice for those negotiating to buy a watch. So, now imagine a seller goes in his sales post stating that all the buyers are contacting him calling him sir and ‘kissing his ass’ looking to do a deal, doesn’t look good does it... Negotiations should be based on mutual respect in my opinion, hence our sellers and buyers review threads.
I don’t know if Mr Trump’s policies are well thought out, or made up, will work or won’t work but I do know that I wouldn’t enter into negotiations buy a watch from him.

Ford Broncos are having a moment. Are they imported to Europe?
Nope UK/EU don’t get the Bronco. But we do get the Ranger which the Bronco is based on. It’s the best selling pickup here with about 45% market share..

Oh, I don't know. Now that the stable genius has caved on most of the tariffs (for now, at least), companies and countries around the world will probably be totally confident in making financial projections and business decisions.

There should be a tariff on happiness.

Ahh yes, the alternative meaning, ‘yippee ki yay, another Tucker’ … the appearance of someone on Fox News supporting the glorious leader proving that no mistakes have ever been made.
