·Hi,
After many years of sitting on the fence, I recently took the plunge and bought an original gold Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch (one of the 1014) and am trying to find an original box for it. Yes, I do know that this is an unlikely (and expensive) thing to actually achieve, but the first thing I need to know is exactly what does the original box look like? Is it the crater box that actually has the moulded sides or the one with flat sides? Any help or tips (or even photos) on how to identify the correct box would be great, as there's no point spending loads of time and a pile of cash to end up with the wrong one.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks - C
