Hey guys, I have access to this 18K Constellation with only outside pics. No movement or inside case back. What do you think? Does it look right? I can tell the case back has been overly polished. Supposedly it is a cal. 551 24 jewels. How about case reference? 2782 maybe? Does the dial look original? All observations welcome!

The case looks extremely polished and the dial is not a desirable style. Looks like a 167.005

Dome dialed dog leg lugged models aren't nearly as sought after as the pie pan versions.

Thanks guys! It explains why the watch is less than $2,000. I will keep looking.

I don't think ever. :( There's something about a pie pan dial that puts vintage collectors in a frenzy. All else being equal, a pie pan dial will inflate the price by several hundred dollars at least.

Raised medallion also means the old one was machined off and a new one attached on .
