    Hi all,

Would like to get your thoughts on whether or not this is likely an original dial. "Swiss Made" looks like an afterthought. Seconds hand appears to extend beyond the seconds track. Any idea what reference this might be?

I appreciate your time and information.

    Regards,

    Brandon

Can't tell a whole lot from one lousy photo.

Yeah, it'd be nice if the auctioneer provided more than one photo.

There are many here who have looked at thousands more watches than I have who can eyeball this dial and say "yep, nope, or maybe" just like we do when a noob posts a terrible redial. I frequently place bids based on nothing but a single photo and a gut feeling about a watch. Any information that someone is generous enough to provide will be accepted with gratitude.

"yep, nope, maybe".... what more do you expect from one really crap photo taken through a badly crazed crystal? I sure as hell wouldn't offer an opinion or concider purchasing a watch based on that picture unless it was really, really cheap.

Did Omega make non auto chronometers in this style? No idea myself just asking the question.

I'm curious about that as well. Haven't seen a configuration like this until now.

"Swiss Made" looks too clumsy to me.

But 332 is auto is it not? The only manual movement I can find is the cal 602 from the 70’s.

Thanks, Tony. I think Noddyman and I suspected this was a manual wind because it lacks the "AUTOMATIC" text on the dial. I originally thought it might be a 30 mm caliber, but it doesn't look like any of the 30 mm chronometres I've seen. If there are no manual wind references that look like this and this isn't the rare exception of an automatic without the "AUTOMATIC" text, that leads me to other conclusions. ;)

Maybe a 20T2-RG movement?. Speculation at this point, of course. The dial pic is bad, but who knows, that dial might be good...although I agree, the "Swiss Made" looks too bold. It could be a lens effect from the plexiglass.

Requested more pics from the auctioneer, but haven't received a response. My guess is that this is a cal. 280/283. Looks like orange patina around the "OMEGA" text, which suggests to me that it is older/possibly original while all other text looks newer. We'll probably never know.
