I have been offered an Ed White buy someone I respect a lot local to me, the downside is it has service replacement hands and bezel... I have yet to see the movement... What to do? Answers on a postcard please
Hands are not an issue for me, a nice relumed Will wake it nice. Bezel... You Know the price for a Nice DON, so you have to take it into account for the final Price. Case looks polished but difficult to see, more pictures Will be helpfull especially for the 321... But the dial looks Nice
What's the side of the case like? Polished and shiny, or any remnants of the original brushed finish and bevels on the top edge? The dial could be nice. I like the slightly mottled patina, but it's hard to tell if the lume has been stripped off or not. If it's still rpesent, I like it. The hands can obviously be aged and bezels are available for a price! I guess it depends upon the state of the case, whether the lume is still there and the condition of the movement. Oh and the price!
Certainly worth looking at. It should be possible to find a bezel and a handset. The dial doesn't strike me as an unmissable one, but it's not terrible. It's down to price, and what you are prepared to put into it, in terms of dollars and time.
The hands and bezel are fixable, if the price is right. Would like to see more of the case and a better pic of the dial. Hard to judge from that one picture.
