It's worth what is being asked. However, it looks like there is some wear through on the lugs. Probably from a Speidel Twist-O-Flex bracelet or similar. These things killed a lot of watch cases.

Maybe better to spend more and get more?

I am never in favour of wearing any watch with a bracelet. Not only the cheap ones but even Rolex and Omega bracelets will leave an undesirable wound on the underside of the case or between the lugs.

Little wonder, most of the old Omega watches came with a band and the bracelet, optional. As for Rolex, long time ago they came with a band. When they discovered not many people were in favour of bracelets, they started selling the watches with a bracelet attached. I remember it started with the later Rolex Day-Date. Buy with a bracelet or nothing, at all.

    Thank you.

No. Those look more tear drop. Look at some of the constellations for dog leg.

Well, I went ahead and got this watch. And glad I did. I take some bad pics, but the pics above from the listing on CList do not give this watch justice! $235 shipped with strap.

The dial does have some very small dots here and there, but most of what I thought was a bad dial is all on the crystal.
Any idea of what year? 342 movement and being the first watch I have ever opened....I forgot to look at the back of the case back.

    Thank you, I will.
Always on the look now. I hit some pawn shops in town two weeks ago and found one that said they had a Constellation coming up soon, "would you like us to call you when it comes in sir?" Still no call, but they know what I'm looking for now.

This watch has a screw on case back but the dial does not say Seamaster. Would that be correct?

Bill, that's a 1951 according to the serial #, a very good year! (my birth year)
Not saying Seamaster is ok for this year, I believe.
Dots are patina due to age and are common due to the finish used on the dial.
It looks attractive and while not valuable or collectable, it's a nice daily wearer (or "beater") worth whatever value your enjoyment places on it.

You won't need a rider on your homeowners insurance with this one, however.

OK, I got that. I am liking this style of dial. I have two now. 30t2 and now 342. If I can collect what I like at this price....I need a watch box!
But is it a Seamaster without the signature?

Seamaster was launched in 1948 but not all had the Seamaster font applied to the dial.
We would need to see the inscription on the inside of the caseback and look for the "O" ring to tell for sure.
My gut leans towards it not being a Seamaster but others know waaaaaay more than I do.
I like your dial too, here's an older picture of mine.

Thanks, have you posted pictures of your 30t2? They are a fav of mine.

By the way, yours being a screw back is Seamaster'ish.
