Hi would someone be able to tell me if this is a good price or not it has no box or papers

I am specifically looking for a watch from 1986 as a gift and I have no idea if this is a good price or not

Its a bit on the high side. That is not a particularly well loved reference (the blue bezel version ends up getting more).

BUT the last handful of sales on ebay for tha treference: $1350 US (after 56 bids!), <$2000 US (accepted best offer), and $1662 US.

VS that one which is ~$1800US. I would expect to get this about $3-400 US cheaper (~1100 GBP).

Though, finding one made in 1986 would likely require additional hunting, so if the year is that important, you might need to overpay.

Don’t forget it’s the 36mm version so less desirable and valuable than the full size 41mm.

It’s not a bad price for the UK, especially with best offer, but first make sure you want a 36mm stew bezel version, then try and get it cheaper.

This model was launched in 1993-4 so you will be SOL finding one from the 1980s. Even the Pre-Bond was too late for your required year. Sellers often get the date wrong with early 90s auto Omegas as the serials in use were a bit screwy and the online tables give a misleading impression of date. For the avoidance of doubt, the Seamaster Professional 300m is a 1990s not 80s model.

If you want an Omega from 1986, your best bet is a Speedmaster Pro. And then, it will be difficult to find one that definitively was made in 1986. And remember, you might find one SOLD in 1986 but was made years earlier.
