This one is out of my usual collection area, so any opinion on this rose gold capped Ranchero is welcome : Anyone knows what the F1746 engraved Inside the caseback stands for?
It's a legit model with issues: case has they typical loss of plating in the lugs due to the thin 40 micron thickness dial is original but looks to have been cleaned in the past crown is a later replacement - should have a plated "bowler" crown and unless it's a white balance issue the movement looks to have lost some of its plating
There is wear through on the plating all the way down to the base metal at the high points. Having the watch replated is going to be a signifiant expense if done correctly.
Hi, Thanks for the answer. Your dial has different indexes & logo, and the hands are also different. Are there variations?
Yes there were. The dress rancheros typically had the triangle markers with the rectangular ones being correct but uncommon. Same thing with the logo variations with both logos being legit for this model.
