Hello everyone, this is my first post here, I've started collecting watches not so long time ago. I was thinking of buying a vintage Omega as a dress watch for some time, and I came across this one I liked it quite a lot, and thought it would be a good start into the world of omega watches, it happened that I won the auction- as I think at a good price 258e with shipping, Watch was described as recently serviced, seems in a good shape, Cal 601, serial number 132.019, I guess the watch is from late sixties nevertheless I didn't find exactly the same model in vintage omega catalog (some similar yes), Could You please tell me if this watch is genuine, maybe some parts not original, and your general opinion (i know it's rather low end omega ) but maybe good to start with Thanks in advance for your replies!
Hello Stanik Welcome to the forum. Looking at images from the net other examples with the same reference number seem to have a cal 613 or call 611 movement. This does not mean yours needs to be wrong but normally you would expect to see the same cal in the same model unless it was produced over a long period of time. The 601 was used in Geneve models from this time so it might be legit. Searching Google for the reference number comes up with nothing matching the dial for your watch, neither does trying 131.019. This would make me suspicious, it does not mean that the watch is not original but if I was spending any money I want an original watch, one that I can be sure is original. I am not saying that the watch is not but if there is no other exact examples found on Google then I would be cautious. Based on what you know so far, that is, you can't find another example exactly the same as yours, would you still want to buy the watch even if it is cheap? That is for you to decide.The watch looks nice so if you are not concerned about it possibly being original or not then buy it. Me, I would keep looking.

1310019 = Cal. 601 1320019 = Cal. 610, 611, 613 601 is a no date movement, and the other are date movements. The case and movement in this watch do not match up. Cheers, Al
Is 132.019 the same as 132.0019? If yes it would mean that the back cover or whole case is from the date version
