Dear Forum Members,
What are your opinions on this Omega Centenary 2500?

Am I being paranoid or the minute hand is a tad too long, and the "SWISS MADE" is a tad sloppy? It looks like lacquer finish of the dial has some damage, is it typical? The rotor has a different hue from the rest of the movement, does it indicate a replacement?

I did compare it to other forum's threads, but I would love to hear your opinions.

I share your concerns about the movement and fonts......if these are the only pictures to be seen.

I’m not going to be as harsh as some others here.

I think the dial is original. I’m wearing my Centenary today and the fonts match. The lacquer on the dial is very yellowed, but the gold base is probably OK. You would just have to live with it like that.

I’ve noticed that discoloration of the pink plating on the movement is pretty common in these. It’s a snap back case. Moisture gets in there and does its dirty work.

Prices on these have been falling over the last year. Don’t over pay. If it’s more than $2K, you are probably paying too much.

There is a watch on page 8 that is very close in serial numbers of case and movement.
