Opinions on this DeLuxe Constellation Pie-Pan

Hi OF Family,

I've been on the hunt for a Constellation Pie-Pan for a few months now, but I'd love your expert opinions on this model.
My mom recently passed away, and she would have wanted me to have my grandfather's Connie, which got passed down to her older brother unfortunately. So I've been looking for a Connie that would both honor her memory and that I can use as a nice memento.
I've found this 1952 Deluxe which would be as old as she would have been, and 40 years older than me.
The Crown looks original, the medallion pristine and the dial is in good shape compared to a lot of the models I've seen online.
The seller is asking for 6k€ with original box but without the papers.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts

There appears to be some discoloration on the right half of the dial.

For this amount of money, the dial has to be pristine. Case and movement look fine to me, but I still think the price is a bit steep.

Those pictures of the watch at C24 are better quality....the shown in the post are not suited to evaluate the watch.

Isn't the dial discoloration actually a looming shadow of something interfering with the photograph's background lighting?

I've discussed with the seller who happens to be part of the OF family and the patina on the right side can be seen on video as well

Why did you post these "strange" pictures instead of better ones - from C24?

These are screenshots from C24, because you can't download C24 pics on mobile

It all depends on the dial, which I can't judge from those photos.

I think we got it the first time you said the pictures weren't great. Or the second time. Or when you linked the Chrono24 post.
Some times in life you don't need some stranger's negativity on the Internet.

YOUR problem is, that you want information from OF -so why do I have to post better pictures? The whole "negative" thing started with post #1. YOUR post.

Seems to fail the MOY thingy, or...? - and the star vs. "Constellation" also seems off? Or it's just the bad pics that makes it looks like it's off.... 😀

Dial damage on the crown side is often due to moisture ingress, IMO. It seems to be fairly subtle in this case, and only you can decide whether it is significant enough to bother you or not, everyone is different. Obviously, asymmetrical dial patina/damage is a flaw and will affect the value. Of course, the watch has many good aspects as well.

Do 2700s come with that sort of rounded logos? I thought those belonged to 2699s?

Nice watch but the price is high IMO. For comparison, I was quite tempted by this deluxe Connie with a far less common stepped dial that recently sold for $4200 on eBay.

I think it's a nice watch and the patina on the right side of the dial will be not so extremely noticeable when on the wrist.

However, I do think the price is optimistic to say the least.

I find the asymmetrical "patina" (likely water damage) unattractive and this would cause me to pass, particularly with a watch of this level and price range. Just me.

Thank you all for your insights! I think I share your opinion that I couldn't overlook the uneven patina for this price range. Thanks a lot for your help
