Hi all, just wanna check if this 5513 is relumed?

Also can anyone point out to me; how/what do I look out for in relumes?

Hi, the photos are not exhaustive, the flash does not help.
The hands seem relumed and also the dial, but they serve other dial photos from other angles.

Thanks, sorry it's the shop lighting. Can't seem to get better pics

Id be surprised if you found a 5513 at a reasonable price at a shop... especially one that hasn’t been messed around with at all.

The dial seems too perfect.....the lume appears too even, & consistent in tone

It does not seem to align,.. in terms of overall condition...with a heavily polished case.....

If something looks too good......it is usually because, it has been manipulated, to be so

If it has been relumed and I think that is likely they did a good job.
In fact too good the idea of reluming is to do it so it looks "real" and relevant to the age of the watch. If they had done this properly we would not be having this conversation.
If you accept that it has been relumed then use this info in your bargaining strategy.

Probably more relevant is a pic of a 5513 , it is a "gilt" but we are talking lume which should be comparable.

On my wrist right now, for comparison, one with auto flash and one without (OK, the one with flash didn't work ... so just one photo):

These lines do stay wonderfully intact with just a warm cream patina and (sometimes) a little puffiness. In your example, the hands could benefit from a clean but all the text seems spot on. 5513mattedial.com has some macro shots for comparison also.
