Just wondering how much has been messed with on this Constellation and would it be worth going for?

    Thank you

Not great photos but you can compare the ‘Constellation’ with a 2852 recently for sale on OF

There's "something" between the 4 and 5 marker - hopefully it's a spot on the crystal....

Looks like an original gilt dial.

Simple change of the second hand (and the bracelet ;):p) and it looks like a pretty solid buy

Dial looks (surprisingly) original. New 2nd hand and a strap and you're there.

What would be an acceptable price in this condition? They are interested in selling it to me but I could bargain with the condition and replacement hand.

Looks nice, no clue on price. But if you decide not to get it please let me know where I can get it! Been looking for arrowhead markers with crosshairs, black dial would be a bonus. Thanks.

Under $1700 is ok since the crown isn't right and it has been polished.. Not too much but some. These are selling from $1500-2500

How would you bargain with an auction house..? ::facepalm2::

It's up for sale at (currently) €942 without fees.

    Troll alert.

But why even start pretending it's for sale at a dealer? ::confused2::

Just say it's on auction, currently at €942 ex. fees - minimum price not reached - that will get far better replies. Also, don't start convincing yourself that this will fly under the radar, even without me "outing you".

It's a black dialed Constellation for sale at a rather big auction house. All I am saying is that there are a number of collectors who will know about this already - if you are going to buy it, you will more than likely pay the market price. Pretending it's for sale at a dealer where you can bargain due the condition will make a number of helpful OF members try to advise you on how to negotiate with him - wasting their time.

For someone who's only contribution to this site is to ask experienced members for help, you don't have awfully good manners.

:D:D I never pretended it was from a dealer, you took it that way.

I have dealt with them many times in the past and you actually can make an offer after it goes unsold, but hey, you can read into it what you wish.

    I find this forum invaluable.

This morning I had Weetsbix and raspberries.
    Fed the cat
Washed the dishes .... and messaged you. Thank you
