Nothing special besides the fact that it's a very early -69 reference. What did you expect?

 

Not much, except that it was earlier in the reference range (MWO says 28.420.xxx as the beginning of the range). Tells us that the DON and the 1039/516 are correct.

Really thrilled to have picked up a 69 on the anniversary of the 1969 Apollo moon landing. Feels like serendipity!

 

It looks a very nice watch with nicely aged case, bezel, dial and hands. The few screws you can see in the movement pictures are virtually unmarked so it's not been serviced a lot. From the few pictures, the jewels look dry but it's very hard to tell. I know you've already decided to have it serviced and if I were you, I'd let it run down now and not wind it again until that's done.

You did ask about value and I think most of us defer to @Spacefruit for that. His page is here but read his explanation of each category. Add on, say US$800-US$1000 for the incomplete bracelet - really not sure but others may know better.
