Hello and good day. I have recently tried a Moonwatch and was wondering about the forum's opinion on whether it fits fine or if it's too big on my 6.75" round wrist. I am a watch bracelet kind of guy so I wouldn't change straps if I ever get the watch.
Dude...you need to visit Burger King and eat a wheelbarrow full of Whoppers and beef that wrist up...that Speedy Gonzales Moonwatch looks like a boat anchor. Just kidding! Seriously...it looks good in my humble opinion!
To be fair, most people I know, including the Gf says I have girly hands and wrist, so no worries Anyway, it's probably because of the first two links protruding like that, that I see it as kind of big on my wrist. Also the fact that my daily wear is a 36mm vintage Connie. Thanks for the reply!
As usual, if you have to start a thread to ask the question, that means you already know (at least on some level) that it's too big for your wrist. I agree.
I'll say that with a 6.5" wrist, I always feel scrawny in OB's or AD's when trying on watches because of the ginormous sagging bracelet. But with the bracelet sized correctly it feels totally different and a lot less clunky.
Yes, I do think it's big, at least bigger than what I'm used to wearing, but not too big in the sense that It's like a wall clock on the wrist. That's why I wanted to ask for opinions here because the Moonwatch is a popular Omega watch and people with various wrist sizes wear them.
Lookin' good. The lugs are at the limits of your wrist, so be weary of future watch purchases with a case above 42mm
I have a 6.75 wrist with 53mm width across viewing from the top. Moonwatch on bracelet is indeed a bit too large due to the solid end link, but, it fits like a dream on straps.
I find that the end links flare out a bit causing it to look a tad large but if you put it in leather or a nato, the true lug to lug on the case fits well. I have a 6.5 inch wrist and the bracelet wears fine. Wears even better on other options.
Only on the newer model bracelet. The older ones don't have that problem.... even the last generation 1998/849 with sold end links.
Yep, your are right. I was referring to newer speedies, 3590 and earlier models has a shorter end link
I have rather thin wrists as well so when I first got my speedy pro, I thought it was way too big on me. After wearing it for a few days, I got used to the size rather quickly. You might just not be used to the size yet. I think it looks good on you.
