·When you receive it, try tapping the side of the case with your index finger; if the shock absorber is still okay, it will feel springy in a rubbery way. Chances are that it has dried out, in which case it should be replaced.

This is a very very very attractive watch 🙄
And it feels so nicely on the wrist i never felt with vintage constellations.. feels actually much larger then 36mm, and sits like it was made for my wrists 😀
Thank you so much for your help and advice, i couldnt be happier 👍
Here it is..🥰
A new Automatic companion for my manual wound DS arrived today. The dial patina is not what i expected but it is still looking nice.
I was a bit surprised that the turtle is missing on the back.. would need to open and check if the caseback is original or not.. 🤔

If you want to dive deeper into DS dress and diver watches check out the Certina DS "where it all began" thread over at Klocksnack.se
You'll find a number of familiar and friendly faces there, much invaluable knowledge and some incredible examples of these vastly underrated and overlooked watches. You'll also see that the dials on these sports/dress DS have almost invariably turned some sort of champagne colour. Congrats on the pick-ups.
