Opinions needed Rolex 5512 Gilt Dial

    A correct 5512 with the serial you listed would be from 1966 and the dial should look like the borrowed photo below. The dial in your picture above does not look very much like the dial below I don’t believe.

    Thank you, I know, it is an earlier dial. But would like to get some opinions, if it looks OK, or re-finished, re-lumed...

    Ok, if you’re only asking about the dial, I would say it’s certainly relumed and most likely refinished as well.

    Why do you think refinished?
    well...Would have been perfect for me, I have a 1962 Sub 5512, with a matte t<25 meter first dial...

    Here is a borrowed photo of an original early 4 line 5512 that has many differences to the dial you posted. I won’t attempt to highlight them all for the benefit of some unscrupulous characters out there, but I think it’s fairly obvious.

    Look closely at 4 O’clock vs the rest. Also, the bar at 9 is not very straight
