Hi everyone,

thought I'd get your opinion on this watch from 1963 and if it's worth fixing.

Non original bracelet, bezel, dial and hands + needs service. Anything I've missed?

Is it hard and costly to source the correct parts for this watch? Does it exsist a dealer who can do it for you? How much do you think it will cost?

The watch is priced around 5700 USD

Thank you for your help, this forum is amazing 馃榿

Lime seems to be there in the 2. Picture. Hands no problem. Bezel rather expensive , but you always fit an service telemeter/ pulsometer bezel. Which is correct as well and cheaper. Worth servicing for sure.

If you are asking whether it would make financial sense to buy the watch for $5700 and then replace the dial, hands, and bezel with period-correct parts, then my answer is "no". The parts are expensive, and you will still have a watch with non-original parts. You would be much better off finding a watch that is already in the condition that makes you happy.

[Edit: Why do you say the dial isn't correct?]

Thanks for all the input. I'm no expert and I thought the dial was wrong, my bad, I learn something from this forum every day 馃榾

Can an Omega store supply you with a correct telemeter/ pulsometer bezel? Should I go for a telemeter og pulsometer?

Thanks for all the help so far 馃榾

How much would one expect to pay for a service bezel?
Thanks

Ha, I know my 220 is a service bezel, if someone was to purchase a new service bezel now, what price would you expect to pay? Thanks

Sorry, I didn't catch the context of the question. I think you need an Omega parts account to get one from Omega and I don't know the price. But on the open market, you might be able to find one for $100-$200.

Thank you, I have seen them for around 拢300+ and wondered if that was a good price, seems pricey then. Cheers

Thanks Dan 馃榾

To be honest, I am not seeing as many service bezels available on the secondary market as I did the last time I looked a couple of years ago. Back then, some of the retail parts suppliers still had them in stock even though Omega had stopped supplying them, and were selling them off. Now, they are pretty much gone, so prices will inevitably rise. However, Omega is still making them, so if you get your watch serviced by someone with a parts account, they should be able to order and install a service bezel.

Thank you. It was at Swiss Limited editions where I saw them too.

I think that watch is worth fixing and think the idea of doing a non-Tachy bezel is a good one.
