    Hello watch enthusiasts,
I recently purchased my first connie. It’s a Omega Constellation Pie Pan gold on steel 1961.
What do you guys think? Did I make a great buy?
Paid about 1400 euro for it.

It’s going to be used like a ”every day watch”, and maybe be in heritage by my future kids.

    Best regards from Sweden!

Hello, I think this is a great looking watch that you bought for a fair price. :)

Has it been serviced recently? If you are intending to wear it as an "every day watch", as you say, it would be important to regularly look after the movement and the gaskets as well.

    Wear it in good health!

Thank you! ☺️ How often would you say that I need to service it?

I would recommend to have a service at least every 3 years, but that's just my usual rythm with vintage watches I wear more often and maybe others have different views on this.

Anyway, please find a good watchmaker you can trust to have the work done for you in your sense. He should be OMEGA certified, so he will get genuine spare parts if needed.

Do NOT send the watch to OMEGA, because they will most likely do things that destroy the vintage and original character of the watch (in order to have it up to date, technically and to give their warranty on the work).

This one is good as a dress watch, for daily wear, you will need one with SS case.

Congrats on your first Connie @JGardh
The caseback does show some signs of rotor rub, so it will need a service.
If you let us know where in the EU you are you may get some recommendations for a suitable watchmaker.
Recommended Service interval is usually 5 years rather than @OMEGuy ’s
    3 Years.
