Hello everyone,

Omega Forum has always been a great resource and so I ask for some advice now on a potential purchase.

Thoughts on the dial and watch below? He is a reputable dealer. Thank you in advance for your time.

Poor condition - refinished dial and aged movement and case.

And I'm not even convinced that refinished dial is original to that case - the markers are more appropriate for alter models and the subdial looks too small - more appropriate for a subseconds bumper movement rather than for a 30mm manual wind movement.

Ok thanks yeah the movement and case look mismatched in age to the appearance of the dial I thought.

But for my own education, are the "omega" and "Swiss" script not executed well either? At this age of watch, which I think would be around the 40's wasn't everything painted by hand? Is it just a matter of precision of painting?

It appears to be a 40s watch with a dial showing some sort of contrived 1960s styling.
