Came across this and would like first impressions and a rough estimate as to what they go for?... Interest in something similar in this condition... Does the dial look too far gone? Pictures could be deceiving but I think it's pink gold...
That bridge is a different colour to the rest of the movement - that would be enough for me to avoid this one - its had a tough life...
Listing does say it is pink gold: http://www.ebay.com/itm/omega-const...es_Watches_MensWatches_GL&hash=item3380dcc840Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

Do you think the markers are Pink? I've got pink on the brain... What reference is that one Adam, I forgot!
I'm not sure if they're pink, definitely gilt printing though...Not sure of the reference (cal. 561), but the seller should be able to post a case back photo if asked. It seems pretty nice, case and lug edges are sharp, although the dial spotting suggests moisture damage.
I have already spoke to him. This one was previously sold, but the buyer wasn't happy with the dial in real life. He wanted one with a clean black dial. looks like its pretty obvious it's got measles! Still a nice watch though. Still surprised its lasted that long...!
Both. I'm sure Connie's were never sold with black dials. People refinish them in black as it brings in more money when nicely done. These look like old redials. Also - Connies never sold with BOR bracelets. Designed for the Seamaster line of watches
Hmmm...really? I'm pretty sure mine isn't a re-dial.. Given, it is a honeycomb dial. But my point is, they did have black dial constellations..But, they were certainly more uncommon! The other two, IMO are original, both gilt printing..pass all the regular checks..the first just looks a little less because the bubbling has distorted the text somewhat.
Have you viewed all 3 out of the cases and checked the dial edges? Two of the auction only show in the case. You look for a small V notch on the dial edge. It's an indicator to show the refinisher where to line up the printing pad. Gilt printing is nothing more than paint. Silver, yellow or pink/rose gold to match the indexs. I did it many times if I redid dials in black for certain models. A good dial refinisher knows his work and I used one of the best in NA for more than 10 years Have your movement and dial taken out of the case and check the edges. Usually at one of the main hour markers.
I guess there is always a possibility. I think (if I was in line) for any of the above I would want to check that out, unfortunately it's hard to tell with ebay as the pictures aren't always detailed enough, either from inexperienced sellers or con artists..Thanks for the info! Nobody has actually answered my original question, current market value of these watches, with black dial and pink markers.
There have been many genuine black-dial Constellations shown by members on this forum. I'm sure you are not correct about that.
Don - Omega certainly did make black dialed Constellations. They came domed and pie pan, and were used on the 50x series as well as the 55x/56x calibers. Plenty of us own and have owned original factory finished black Connies. Here's my old 2943 which I got an extract from Omega on: This watch was formerly owned by Desmond / mondodec, who outbid the Omega museum to get it. It's now owned by forum member Angel / alam.
