I sold one GMT a couple of weeks ago, so my Rolex collection is now “down” to:

14060M

16710

16800

And the whole family together
I really believe that this 14060 2 lines will be the must have in a decade like the 5513 is today, love it!

I only have one now. A 16710 with three bezels and both bracelets. I don’t much like the modern watches although I am strangely finding myself drawn to the sky dweller!. I did sell a Kermit last year, but no regrets as I have a Tudor harrods to replace.

I tend to prefer Tudor and omega these days as I know I can buy one if I want to within reason.

That's awesome. Did you buy you're bezel inserts seperate or get them all at once?

Thanks - I bought the watch on coke and oyster and made my way to RSC on my way home that day and picked up the black and Pepsi bezels along with the jubilee bracelet.

Made it an expensive day, but the watch is so great in all looks that it really was worth it for me. It does spend most of its life on Pepsi and jubilee however (impersonating it’s newer relative), but it’s nice to switch up when you want to. The black bezel is surprisingly nice.

In the U.K. you can pick up the bezel inserts at £55 from Rolex so it’s pretty cheap to complete the set.

Just one as well but happy with how it doesn't draw attention.. Still haven't decided on what my next one will be.

Champagne dial is so classic. Gives it a two-tone feel without the two-tone price 😉

I like Rolex, don't get me wrong. I've owned a few. But sometimes I see these Rolex fanboys that only collect Rolex, and not only is that expensive, but boring. How many color variations do you need of a similar style oyster watch?

The top row shows nine Rolex watches. I’ve sold the Daytona and the GMT Master II.

Lovely

True story...

I was in a local jewelry store getting a present for my wife's birthday last summer. Started talking to the owner who I know for a while and while he isn't really a "watch guy" he knows some things. I bought my first watch from him over a decade ago, a Mille Miglia. I was wearing my 1971 Speedy which he recognized as a vintage Speedy. Got to talking and he said "I bought 4 50th anniversary Subs and I just have them sit in my safe". My ears perked up "you have 4 Kermits? Would you let one of them go? Let me see them". Sure enough he pulls out all 4 so I can see them. All in plastics. But I quickly look at the bezels and I see one of them is a flat four. I ask what the serials are and how much he would want and he goes down the list. The flat four is an F3 serial. Now I'm really interested. He quoted me a price that made it fairly clear to me he had no idea the additional value the MkI flat four held. Bought it on the spot. Sent it in to RSC for a movement servicing (and authenticity check) and all is well.

Great story, but there is a saying that comes to mind, "photos please, or it didn't happen!" 😀 😀 ;-)
