@rominvicta I agree with you that Venice is no place to live in but think of the cruise ships mooring every day. There is so many tourists coming that Omega will be able to sell quite a few "Venice only" watches. Also the reason it isn't limited imho.

Archer, with all my due respect here i would advice you to pay a visit to Venice. That is a tourist city, locals are few. And these that live there, well majority not at their will. I have been there many times plus i know quite a few Italians that live in the vicinity. Surely there will be locals like from Mestre, Padova etc that both have the means and awareness to buy it, but is this what Omega relies on?

No, clearly not as "metro" Venice is under 300,000. However there are multitudes of wealthy tourists who visit Venice every year...

Honestly this seems to be much ado about nothing, so the reason you are getting somewhat mocking replies is because you appear to be taking this way too seriously. Omega knows what they are doing generally, and if this watch doesn't sell (highly unlikely) then it will be like many others over the years that hasn't sold as well as they would have liked. It's not the end of the company (or world) if a specific model made in low numbers for a small market doesn't fly off the shelves...

What am I supposed to say? That i got what Kmart wrote? My gosh! That's clear. What is not clear is why limit geographically a product if you are not trying even to create desirability. Let us be honest. How many of you would pay a visit to Venice in order to buy the watch? Not many, if any. Who's gonna buy it? .

🤔...

A trek to Venice for this watch wouldn't be a reach for those who may be vacationing somewhere in Italy. If I thought I would get enough use out of a dress watch this one would be on my radar.

That is a really special looking piece. A lot of dough though, like pretty much all of Omega's recent releases.

Here are the first pictures. My apologies in advance, I take iPhone pictures only.

The watch comes with a very nice and elegant black box and a certificate of authenticity.

Yes @Superdoc, I have chosen the brown strap. I think it fits better to the Sedna gold indexes and hands. And no, I didn't get both. You know that they are a bit picky with band swapping.

I do love the appearance of the dial. The hour markers are beautifully built and the creme colour is just lovely. The leaf hands are subtle but elegant.

The case back is a beauty of its own. The laser graved sea horse is a fantastic feature. There are better pictures out there.

Finally a wrist shot. The watch sits light and comfortable on my wrist. I found my ultimate dress watch.

I mean no offence by this, but the closest thing this watch resembles is a redialed Seamaster from the fifties. The slightly heavier font on "Seamaster", the placement of the minute markers and the clean, bright dial. If it wasn't for the date placement and the text on the lower half, it would look just like those Seamasters we're always trying to stop newbies buying 😀

Yes it does, but not too large. It still sits on the middle of the wrist, not dominating the whole arm. 😀

Here you can see it better:
