Hi guys, here i am again in the need for your advice. In the wake of my recent entry in the world of Omega vintage, a dear friend of mine who isn't familiar with forum nor speaks english, ask for help.
He's in talk with a dutch seller who's selling a Genève 135.070 (just like mine).
These are the pictures he got; it seems good to me even if i'm not sure at all about the movement (near the "seventeen" writing there's something i'm not sure about).
Maybe case can need a slight polishing; on this topic i never understood if originally the case for this reference was meant to be polish or satin.
Price is fair enough to me; i'm talking about 500 euro and the seller states that "service history is unknown, but the watch runs well".

Will you help me one more time?

Thanks in advance.

Seems fine albeit a little on the high price side but most on Chrono24 are

It’s a good watch, most of this reference are as they had better than average water resistance for the era and being manual wind often didn’t get as much use as the automatics. Also being manual wind the movement is simpler and has less to go wrong. I recommend these often to first time Omega buyers and this example isn’t bad though the price isn’t cheap.

Hello, for first omega is very good choice. This watch looks good and has great movement.its a bit overpolished imo. The price its not that bad but its not the deal of the year. For example i sold a very crisp one 2 months ago on chrono24 with 16mm original buckle for 400 euro.In overall its a great looking watch and there is good deals that could be found with a little bit of patient.here is a pic

Absolutely. I offered this one (136.070) recently on the Private Sales forum for £300 but withdrew it for lack of interest.

To the OP, sorry but the photos make this very difficult to assess. I suspect the case is very heavily polished. The lugs should be squared and sharp like the one that Spruce has posted, which is a much better watch, for the price. This particular reference is not highly valued, so you often see them priced lower than Seamasters making them a good entry point into Omega.

Looks ok if it appeals to your friend and he doesn't mind paying a little extra for it. Perhaps this is heresy, but this case style is a bit too utilitarian for me personally.

Thank you all for your messages, they're really appreciated. Just spoked to my friend and he will probably pass over.
@george kob I bought mine last mounth on chrono24, i don't know how i missed yours!
Have to say i know i paid a little more than the average of this watches, but it was my first one step into this world, and i felt comfortable with the guarantee offered by the seller at the time.
Plus, i wanted it crisp as yours and that was my shot.
